The stump sat inside a timber raised bed, so a tracked machine couldn’t get to it. The portable grinder was lifted into the bed and the stump was ground out so the bed could be replanted.

Stump grinding below ground level

Grinding chips the stump away instead of digging the whole root system out of the ground. Our equipment can reach approximately 600mm below ground level where site conditions allow. Access is part of the job
